Title: Program Assistant; Urban Wilderness Program
Status: Hourly, Full-time
Location: Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (August-May) & International Falls, MN (June-July)
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Boatbuild Program. If you are passionate about environmental education, hands-on learning experiences, and community engagement, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
In addition to the work with Urban Wilderness, job responsibilities will include participating as a camp counselor during the summer months at Camp Ogichi Daa Kwe, a wilderness tripping camp located on Rainy Lake, just outside International Falls, MN
Responsibilites
Provide hands-on assistance to participants, helping them develop woodworking and boatbuilding skills.
Assist in organizing and facilitating boatbuilding workshops, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Coordinate materials and supplies for boatbuilding projects.
Work closely with program coordinators to plan and execute engaging and educational field trips.
Foster positive relationships with program participants, volunteers, and community partners.
