Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Shuman Urban Wilderness Center

The Shuman Urban Wilderness Center, a new interactive facility focused on STEM learning, outdoor education, health, and wellness, will officially break ground on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 10:00am on the campus of Aiken High School at 5641 Belmont Ave, Cincinnati.

The ceremony marks the start of construction on a center designed to serve both the local community and students throughout the Cincinnati area. Attendees will hear remarks from community leaders before participating in the ceremonial groundbreaking, followed by light refreshments.

The Shuman Urban Wilderness Center aims to provide an innovative space for hands-on learning, promoting well-being, environmental awareness, and community engagement.
